Sugar is the code name given to one of the American army’s nuclear testing in Nevada in the 50s. Soldiers have had the order to watch the explosions without respect of any security rules. This work attempt to reproduce sculpturally a vaporous event (the explosion) using a material as volatile : confettis. Hybrid between tree, landscape and atomic mushroom, the piece is a cluster of thousands of particles that holds the exact moment of explosion, challenging at the same time gravity and temporality.
